Petoskey comes from a native american word meaning “rays of the living sun”. Commonly found along Lake Michigan, coral fossil petoskey, it was named Michigan’s state stone. It is said to help make you more aware of your own emotions, help with grounding and balance and is also used as a protection stone. It is also thought to help with arthritis, osteoporosis and respiratory conditions.
