This lapis & turquoise necklace is made with genuine turquoise beads and lapis chip drops on a stainless, hand forged bar, this necklace is simple elegance.

Bar measures 3-1/4″.  Total length of adjustable necklace is 18″ with a 2″ extender for a total length of 20″

Lapis Lazuli is a stone of royalty, power, vision and honor.  Egyptians crushed it to use to color stone and for blue cosmetics.  During the Renaissance, artist used it for the blue in skies and water.  It has been sought after since the beginning of history.  It is thought to help regulate the endocrine & thyroid glands and benefit the vocal cords and throat.

Depending on the setting, turquoise fits almost any occasion.  It comes in a wide range of colors, from white to blue to green to yellow.  Stones with a higher copper content have more of a blue hue.  Higher iron content cause a more greenish hue.  Appearing in ancient Egypt as early as 6000BC in amulets and adornment for King Tut and Cleopatra, turquoise has been used for centuries for personal protection, calm and a good luck charm.  Native Americans considered it a sacred stone.
